¡Bienvenidos Δειπνοσοφισταί!

A heart-felt welcome to all of you from Your favorite Deipnosophistic Documentarian. Thanks for visiting pseudoLatino.com, Home of (duh) the PseudoLatino, which is to say, me aka Yours Truly aka The Salsa Pretender aka The Tango Terrorist aka The Way, The Truth, and The Life (let no man come to Tango but through Me) aka the guy who doesn't give two shits about your Sacred Cows--cultural, religious, personal, or ideological.

What you'll find here is not in any way meant to be an objective guide to ideas, events, music, venues or people. Rather, it is a warped and skewed view of all those things, filtered through the prism of my demented imagination, megalomania, frustrations and successes, biases, goals, and ambitions.

Feel free to browse about, leave me hate-mail, love-letters, or to wander away with bored indifference. Whatever makes ya happy. At PseudoLatino.com, what you see is what you get, and what you get is ME . . . attitude and opinions included.

In the meantime, here is some basic information regarding pseudoLatino.com:

  • If you haven't followed a site in Blog format before, you should know that the most recent entries are at the top. If you click on one of the listed monthly archives, you will see that particular month in ASCENDING order (oldest at top)
  • A suggestion for first time visitors: choose a topic that interests you from the TOPICS/VENUES list in the sidebar on the right (pretty far down on the page, depending on your monitor size, you may have to scroll down to find it). You'll then see a list of posts that pertain to that particular topic. These are also listed in ascending order, so the story of that venue is easier to follow as it unfolds.
  • Be sure to click on hyperlinks you find within the entries. Some of them are a little odd, and may not be at ALL what you expect
  • Posting comments on this site requires PseudoLatino approval. I chose to require this to reduce/eliminate spam and cut back on the number of people interested in leaving posts consisting of such profundities as "Fuck off, you moron!" and its kin. You are of course welcome to post a comment containing "Fuck off, you moron," so long as there's a little more to the response than merely "Fuck off, you moron."
  • If you are interested in helping me collect resources or have ideas about what information would be useful to other readers, please let me know.
  • I am always interested in creative, insightful, and passionate discourse. If you wanna argue 'bout sumpthin' I haven't yet mentioned, you know where to find me. I'm happy to post voices of dissent.
  • If you are easily offended by profanity, candor, and off-color humor, I suggest you go back to your Sunday School Mythology Class or your favorite Right-Wing Talk Radio Program or the Leftist, politically-correct activist organization from which you escaped and don't waste your time on this site. The day I modify my content for your hang-ups will be the same day you willingly insert flaming, razor sharp bamboo shoots into your prolapsed anus.
